Colts Neck - Chairman Shaun Golden and the Monmouth County Republican leadership team are announcing tremendous victories for Republicans in an historic election cycle.
President-elect Donald Trump won Monmouth County by over 43,000 votes with the vast majority of election districts supporting him and Vice President-elect Vance. Senate Candidate Curtis Bashaw won Monmouth by over 35,500 votes, Congressman Chris Smith trounced his opponent, and County Commissioner Sue Kiley cruised to re-election by over 55,000 votes. Dr. Rajesh Mohan also saw victory in Monmouth County’s portion of Congressional District 3.
Notably, Republicans won in countless local races and 39 municipal races in the county even saw no Democrat challengers. Monmouth County delivered the second highest percentage of votes for President Trump in the state at 55.4%.
“Our success in Monmouth County is due to our strategic investments by the County Republican organization in both digital and grassroots strategies to register and reach voters across our county,”said Golden of the milestone victories and the strong Republican performance in the election. "Our leadership team, candidates and volunteers are the backbone of our organization and spend countless hours to ensure we are victorious up and down the ballot."
Earlier this year, Monmouth Republicans announced registered republicans outnumbered democrats by a margin of over 20,000 in the county. Monmouth Republicans also outperformed democrats in the early vote for the 2024 election for the first time ever.
“While others talked the talk, we delivered. Simply put: we swamped the vote for President Trump and the Republican ticket,” said Golden.
Golden credits his leadership team of Co-Chair Christine Hanlon, Vice Chairs John Cantalupo, Tony Fiore, Susan Cohen, Robert Nicastro, and Monmouth Republican Organization Executive Director, Anthony Guzzone II.
